== Interface administrators == Interface administrators are trusted members of WikiProducers with special technical permissions to edit the site’s interface, including pages in the MediaWiki namespace, site-wide CSS, and JavaScript files. === Responsibilities === * Customizing the look and feel of WikiProducers through CSS. * Adding, modifying, or removing JavaScript that affects the wiki’s functionality. * Maintaining templates, modules, and gadgets used across the site. * Ensuring all interface changes are secure, functional, and consistent with WikiProducers branding. === Why this role is important === Interface administrators control changes that affect how the site works for all users. This requires: * Advanced technical skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MediaWiki markup. * A clear understanding of accessibility and usability best practices. * A commitment to security, avoiding code that could expose user data or harm the wiki. === Selection === Only highly trusted members are granted interface administrator rights, usually after: * Significant technical contributions to the wiki. * Demonstrated expertise in MediaWiki customization. * Approval from Bureaucrats or site founders. === Caution === Edits made by interface administrators have site-wide impact. Any changes to core scripts or styles should be tested and documented before deployment. === Contact === If you encounter a technical issue or wish to suggest an interface improvement, please contact an Interface Administrator listed on this page or leave a request at [[WikiProducers:Technical support]].
